SQA: No Checksum/HASH Provided to Verify Download Integrity

Issue: Checksum hashes are typically provided by the vendor to ensure that errors were not introduced during the download process. These checksum hashes are then recorded into a companies SQA records for quality affecting software. RAMP does not provide checksums for their software download.

Request: Please provide checksum information to support conformance to potential downstream user SQA procedures for all RAMP software.

Hey Matt,

This is a great suggestion that we can start employing for all of our codes.  Hashes are provided for the V+ and PIMAL codes, but this is not standard across the RAMP codes.

For SNAP/RADTRAD in particular, we are investigating how to best provide hashes for the components: SNAP itself, the relevant plugins, and the RADTRAD AC.  We are looking to provide this in the RADTRAD 5.1.1 release in Summer 2025.

Best,
