GALE 0.8 Release Notes

Version 0.8 - Released 06/04/2008:

Boiling Water Reactor Gaseous Effluent (BWRGE) Subprogram:

  • Updated the hardwired parameters that are in the BWRGE code which related older versions of the ANSI/ANS-18.1-1984 standard with the most recent ANSI/ANS-18.1-1999 standard, specifically:
    • Concentrations of iodine, xenon, and krypton isotopes in primary and secondary coolant.
    • Adjustment factors based on reactor parameters.
  • Changed recommended values of various recommended parameters which related Regulatory Guide 1.140, Revision 1 (NRC 1979) to those in Regulatory Guide 1.140, Revision 2 (NRC 2001). These changes are only reflected in the code documentation.

Boiling Water Reactor Liquid Effluent (BWRLE) Subprogram:

  • Updated the hardwired parameters that are in the BWRLE code which related older versions of the ANSI/ANS-18.1-1984 standard with the most recent ANSI/ANS-18.1-1999 standard, specifically:
    • Concentrations radioisotopes in primary and secondary coolant.

Pressurized Water Reactor Gaseous Effluent (PWRGE) Subprogram:

  • Updated the hardwired parameters that are in the PWRGE code which related older versions of the ANSI/ANS-18.1-1984 standard with the most recent ANSI/ANS-18.1-1999 standard, specifically:
