RASCAL model for stability category

When RASCAL determines the stability category if the user didn't supply it in the meteorological data input, does it take Northern/Southern Hemisphere into consideration (Cariolis parameter)?

Hi Henriette, For cases where the user does not provide stability class in a meteorological dataset, RASCAL will estimate stability class based on wind speed and time of day. This is simply a lookup from Table 6-2 that can be found in NUREG-1940, page 6-4. The Coriolis parameter is not used in this calculation. Please let us know if there is a concern or question as to this parameter needing to be considered in one of the models. Thanks! Jeff
